Our partners from Happily Ever Laughter hosted the Filotimo Team, its partners and guests to a wonderful breakfast, joined by our guest speakers, Prof. Gertie Pretorius, Adele Burger and Olivia Curlewis from CANSA to talk to us about Cancer, the emotional and mental strain it places on those diagnosed with Cancer, the Care and Support that CANSA can offer to those in need as well as education on signs and symptoms about Cancer.
Prof Gertie Pretorius has been registered as a Counselling Psychologist for the past 38 years and as a Research Psychologist for the past 11 years. Prof Pretorius is currently in private practice as a psychologist in Gauteng, where she facilitates  the healing, growth and resilience of her clients. As a Bilingual South African, she practices in both Afrikaans and English. This accounts for her immense respect concerning the diversity of language, culture, religion and sexual orientation.
