This is my story

My name is Amber Denae Wright. I am 28 years old and have been married to my amazing husband Nick for the past 4 years. We live in Cape Town and I am an interior designer. My hobbies include content creation, modelling, travelling and eating out.

 

I was diagnosed with, and am currently undergoing treatment for, Stage 1 Type 2 Invasive Duct Carcinoma in August 2020, just before my 28th Birthday.

 

After 16 rounds of chemotherapy, a lumpectomy and with another operation and radiation ahead, I have come to rely on 2 pillars in my life: my faith and my family. They are what have brought me through the most challenging thing that I have ever had to face.

 

I want my journey with breast cancer to be one that inspires others and gives other women hope and strength to fight this disease with all their might and the courage to share their stories.
