On the 8th December 2020, the Machi Filotimo Cancer Project invited our Brand Ambassador, Temotio Jacopo and his running and support team, together with our Partnered Institutions that supported us on the day, The Sunflower Fund, CANSA and Hospice Wits as well as our amazing Filotimo Cancer Champions to a brunch that was hosted by our Partners, La Boqueria in Parktown North, to celebrate the victory of our epic event, our first Filotimo Ultra Marathon of Honour where Timo took on the challenge to run 100KM in less than 12 hours in one day to fund the fight against Cancer and for being blessed to have reached our goal of R100'000.00.
This was a very emotional day for us, as we were able to help support our Partnered Institutions and Rescues with funds as well as donating towards our Filotimo Cancer Champion, Danielle Van Zyl, the sum of R45'000.00 towards her Bone Marrow Transplant for Christmas.
We want to thank each and everyone that pledged, donated and supported us on this epic journey. Together we are changing lives.
What a special way to end off this year... doing what we do in the spirit of Filotimo!!
