It's the month Jo'burg turns purple AND its Breast Cancer Awareness month.
We joined THE PIRATES for a club run through tree-lined streets in the BOOBS AND BLOSSOMS jog on SUNDAY 23 OCTOBER to raise awareness for the cause while we smell the flowers. Everyone was all set, dressed in pink and ready to #rockandroll

Seeing our Filotimo Champs and Family today sharing the spirit of Filotimo.. wow, what a blessing. We made #momentsmatter. We will never forget our fallen #FilotimoAngels and every event we do or are involved in.. it’s always in memory and to honour our loved ones that are no longer here and to celebrate and support our warriors and survivors.
But most importantly the outcome from today.... the importance of “knowing your normal” to prevent cancer from being diagnosed at late staging!

“Today is our Boobs & Blossoms Run. Nikki and I joined Filotimo in 2019. They walked with us every step of Nikki's cancer journey providing incredible support, care, and compassion. After Nikki passed away, I became a Brand Ambassador for the Project. My role being to support Filotimo in raising awareness for all cancers and raise funds wherever possible so that we can assist and support Warriors and their families.
Filotimo is a Greek word (filo is friend & timi is honour) - honour your friend.
