FUN+LOVE+LAUGHTER was on the menu at the Breast Cancer Awareness event held at the beautiful The Venue on LESLIE, in Fourways on Saturday 30 October hosted by Woman of Stature Foundation and Machi Filotimo Cancer Project.
Sue Jameson brought the laughter with her laughter session that had everyone in stitches of laughter which is an antidote to stress.
Seasoned entertainer Jacques Lagesse set the tone for the day with beautiful music.
Local artists displayed their talent with an art exhibition and floral sculpture.
Evy Michalopoulos, Nicole Fuller, Dr Prinitha Pillay and Professor Carol-Ann Benn represented the purpose of the day which was Breast Health, the facts and advice of early detection, treatment and options.
Professor Benn's emphasis on review, review, review... patient's have rights... recommending diagnosis reviewed and being well informed of options before starting treatment.
Our Filotimo Patient navigator and breast cancer survivor Nicole Fuller, has first hand experience of the journey and has qualified as a navigator to help patients to be informed.
Our amazing #filotimocancerchampions made us so proud once again as they are the inspiration and motivation behind why we do what we do.. in the spirit of Filotimo and we will never forget those that have gained the angel wings🎗
Overall it was a beautiful day celebrating life and in honour of loved ones who we have left us and celebrating survivors.
